This Privacy Policy describes how Bright Stars Limited ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in Cyprus (Peiraios 30, 1st floor, Flat/Office 1, Strovolos 2023, Nicosia, Cyprus), collects, uses, and protects your information when you use The Evening Salon ("the Service") at eveningsalon.com.

1. Information We Collect

When you request an introduction, we collect the information you provide:

• Name — the name you wish to be addressed by.
• Email address — where the Service's letters are delivered, with your explicit confirmation (double opt-in).
• Year of birth — to confirm eligibility and to write to you appropriately.
• Anything you volunteer — the optional note on your card, and, once correspondence begins, the content of the letters you choose to write.

We also collect technical information automatically when you use the site:

• Network information — your IP address, approximate location derived from it (country, region, city), time zone, and internet provider.
• Device and browser information — such as device type, operating system, browser, screen size, language settings, and connection characteristics.

We do not collect payment information at this time. We do not ask for, and you should not send, government identifiers or financial details.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To deliver the correspondence you signed up for, and to personalise it.
• To confirm your email address before any letters are sent (double opt-in).
• To operate, secure, and improve the Service, including preventing abuse and understanding, in aggregate, how the Service is used.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3. The Nature of the Service

The Evening Salon is a disclosed work of artificial-intelligence companionship. The letters you receive are generated by AI. The content of your correspondence is processed by our AI infrastructure providers (see below) solely to produce the Service's replies, and is not used by us to advertise to you.

4. Third-Party Services

• AI providers (including xAI) — the content of correspondence and the details you volunteer are processed via secure APIs solely to generate the Service's letters and materials, subject to those providers' privacy policies.
• Cloudflare — hosting, storage, security, DNS, and email delivery. Cloudflare processes technical data (IP addresses, browser information) as described in Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
• Advertising and analytics services — if we introduce them (for example, Google Ads conversion measurement), they will use cookies or similar technologies only after you are asked for consent, and this policy will be updated.

5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

• Essential cookies — strictly necessary for the site to function. The public site currently sets no cookies at all for visitors.
• Analytics and advertising cookies — not currently used. Should we introduce them, you will be asked to accept or decline them first, and declining will not affect your use of the Service.

6. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure. We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it. No method of electronic storage is entirely secure.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data for as long as you use the Service. To request deletion, write to hello@eveningsalon.com and your data will be removed within 30 days. Ceasing to read the letters, or asking Margaret to stop writing, also stops all correspondence.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Object to or restrict processing of your data.
• Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior lawful processing).

9. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where our infrastructure and some third-party services are located. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.

10. Age Requirement

The Service is intended strictly for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if we become aware that we have, we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
